Where were you when the idea for Gloji was born? & What inspired the creation of Gloji?
Both of my father and grandfather managed a traditional Chinese medicine shop back in China, therefore I was in contact of many Chinese herbs since early age. One hot summer afternoon in Los Angeles 2006, I was feeling tired and exhausted, I wanted to prepare myself a cold drink using traditional Chinese herbs to soothe and nourish my “internal system”. I used Goji as the main ingredient along with longan, tangerine peels, licoric, honey and boil them together. It turns out that this drink/soup is very delicious. And soon after drinking it I felt much better. I suddenly thought, wouldn’t it be more convenient if this drink is bottled and available in stores? That’s when I have the first thought about Gloji.
